The share of other sales in total Istanbul home sales was 76.3 percent. Ankara ranked second with another 7,975 home sales. Izmir followed Ankara with 4,898 home sales. The province with the least other home sales was Ardahan with 9 homes.

36 THOUSAND 658 HOUSES SOLD FOR THE FIRST TIME

The number of homes sold for the first time in Turkey in November 2020 decreased by 25.0 percent overall compared to the same month last year was 36,658. The share of the first sale in total home sales was 32.6 percent.

In the first sales, Istanbul had the largest share with 6,177 home sales and 16.9 percent, followed by Ankara with 2,662 home sales and İzmir with 1,888 home sales.

Turkey in the sales of second-hand homes in November 2020, showing a decrease of 15.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year was 75 thousand 825. In the sale of second-hand homes, Istanbul ranked first with 14 thousand 981 houses and a participation of 19.8 percent.

The share of second-hand sales in total home sales in Istanbul was 70.8 percent. Ankara ranked second with the sale of 8,48 houses. Izmir followed Ankara with 4,686 home sales.

INCREASED BY 21.5 PERCENT IN THE JANUARY-NOVEMBER PERIOD

In the January-November period, 1,393,335 homes were sold, an increase of 21.5 percent over the same period of the previous year.

In the January-November period, sales of mortgaged homes increased 98.0 percent and went to 834 thousand 629, decreasing 3.4 percent in other types of sale. In this period, homes sold for the first time decreased 0.8 percent to 432 thousand 842. Sales of second-hand homes also increased 35.2 percent and reached 960 thousand 493.

4 THOUSAND 962 HOUSES WERE SOLD TO FOREIGNERS

Home sales to foreigners increased by 24.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and stood at 4 962. In the sale of homes to foreigners, Istanbul ranked first in November 2020 with 2,443 home sales .

Istanbul was followed by Antalya with 893 home sales, Ankara with 297 home sales, Yalova with 182 home sales, and Bursa with 174 home sales.

Iraqi citizens in Turkey since 876 in November bought it. Iraq was followed by Iran with 860 houses, the Russian Federation with 434, Afghanistan with 203 and Kuwait with 202 houses.
