Tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia for weeks continues to compromise the ceasefire agreement established through the mediation of Russia. ALİYEV TRANSFERRED THE LAST SITUATION IN KARABAĞ
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made statements on the latest events in Nagorno-Karabakh. Stating that Azerbaijan’s goal is to guarantee territorial integrity, Aliyev said:
* Therefore, the main objective on the battlefield is to liberate strategic heights from the invaders and take control of large areas. The strategic heights in the north, south and east directions are under our control.
* We liberated several villages in the Fuzuli region from the invaders. I am sure there will be some very good news from Füzuli in the near future. We are currently carrying out major operations in the north and south directions. As you know, the rescue of Jabrayil was the result of a very successful operation and we already own most of the villages in Jabrayil.
“ARMENIA MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE LANDS IN WHICH IT IS INVOLVED”
Saying “Armenia must put aside its aggression, comply with the ceasefire and withdraw from the occupied territories,” Aliyev said, “then this problem must be resolved peacefully without shedding blood.”
Emphasizing that one of the main reasons for the ceasefire was humanitarian issues, Aliyev continued as follows:
* Some studies have been carried out in this direction. We have taken very important steps to change bodies. We include the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in this study. But unfortunately, Armenia started new attacks against us using this ceasefire. This is not just the Ganja bombing, it is a war crime, an act of terrorism.
* Armenia once again showed its face to the world as a land of terror. After the ceasefire they wanted to take advantage of these opportunities and they attacked Hadrut 2-3 times and tried to occupy Hadrut again. However, they did not succeed. They suffered a great loss of life and weapons.
* In other directions, in the Jabrayil region, north of Jabrayil, along the Araz River, they reorganized their attacks against us. Of course, all these attacks have been repulsed. Therefore, if this ugly policy continues in Armenia, you will regret it.
* From the first hours of the war, I even asked them and the Armenian people to leave these lands in peace, without bloodshed or death. Unfortunately, Armenia does not comply with this and today it is the Armenian administration that is responsible for the complete destruction of the Armenian army on the battlefield.
“Turkey is right”
Aliyev continued his remarks as follows:
* It is a fact that the problem cannot be solved without the participation of Turkey in the region. Recent times have clearly shown this. This is a fact. Of course, Turkey, neighbor of Azerbaijan, neighbor of Armenia and plays an active role in the region as a neighbor of the South Caucasus, Georgia, another country. This is the law of Turkey.
* Historically, we know history well. Thus, the process from the first hours of Turkey’s struggle to become a politician must also be included in this study, which we have expressed in a clear and indisputable way. If so, sooner or later these wars will stop and the peace phase will be achieved. In fact, Turkey has said. Because yesterday, Erdogan and Putin spoke on the phone.
* At the same time, the Foreign and Defense Ministers of Turkey and Russia spoke by phone recently. Because they are discussing the Karabakh issue. In fact, Turkey is a member of the Minsk Group and the Minsk Group had not reached a consensus for 30 years, 30 years, four of the UN Security Council have decided that the application could not avoid it and this situation has practically been arrested. Of course, we hope that this problem will be resolved soon, Turkey must take an active role in it and I am sure it will be.
“THIS IS OUR LAND”
Stating that the deployment of peacekeepers in the region is based on basic principles, Aliyev continued his remarks as follows:
* This is one of the basic principles. However, in the last stage of this process, this problem had to be resolved. Since the basic principles are not accepted, they are still just a matter of debate, I don’t know how correct it could be to comment on this topic.
* Therefore, the active phase of the war continues in the current situation, I think it is too early. Of course, in this case, the word Azerbaijan must and will be taken into account. Because everyone should know that wars are currently taking place on the territory of Azerbaijan. This is our land in terms of international law, this is our land in terms of historical justice. It is not possible to bring the armed forces of another country to Azerbaijan without the permission of Azerbaijan.
“Our NEGOTIATIONS ARE RELATED TO MILITARY BASES IN TURKEY NOT ABOVE”

* These exercises strengthen our military cooperation, the improvement of the Azerbaijani army, closer to the criteria of the Turkish army and Turkey aims to benefit from positive experiences in the military field. For this reason, there has been a lot of information about the Turkish military base in the international media since the end of September. There is no basis for this. The Turkey-Azerbaijan cooperation is so strong, that we are so close to each other so extensive that at all times. Whether or not we trust our base in Turkey and we trust ourselves too.
“THE MILITARY AND POLITICAL ROAD IS THE MOST ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION”

We said they would. This is your opinion, and ours, that this issue should only be resolved peacefully. But what do we see? This path has not worked for 30 years.
* Armenia has tried to keep these lands under occupation for 30 years. I said that we are currently in the process of solving the problem by military means. We want this phase to end as soon as possible and then the diplomatic phase to begin. So our approach is to solve this problem by military and political means.
* It cannot be solved by military means alone. I agree. Because after the active phase of the conflict, the parties should think about a peace agreement and do it. Then there will be political paths. Therefore, the military and political route is the most acceptable. However, Armenia believes that it will take back the lands we liberated. That is why he always attacks us on the battlefield.
“WE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END UNLESS YOU INDICATE THE TIME”
Stating that a ceasefire was declared with Armenia, Aliyev concluded his remarks as follows:
* We gave a very serious order to all our military units to provide a ceasefire. However, it is not so easy to do it. We stopped at 12.00, but they didn’t. After that, for about an hour, we acted again to defend ourselves, and then we liberated a few more villages from occupation. Therefore, Armenia must finally realize that it cannot achieve anything in this way.
* They only have to comply with the ceasefire. I believe that the Armenian administration should make a new declaration on the ceasefire. Then we stop. However, the process cannot continue for years after that. After that, we should be given a timetable.
* We do not insist on the calendar in the Moscow meetings. We understand this because it is difficult to agree on this in one day. However, as soon as the peace process begins, the first item on the agenda is the calendar. The dates on which the Armenian armed forces will leave the remaining lands and the dates on which we will enter these lands must be given. Otherwise, as I said, we will continue to the end.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that six more villages were liberated from the Armenian occupation. Aliyev used the following statements on his official Twitter account:

THE CAUSE OF THE STRESS IS TOO DEEP
