The Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy (Cddep), a group of experts based in the US and India, has published extensive research. The organization, which explains that antibiotics used in the health system to kill diseases both in the health system and in meat and fish farms will have great long-term damage, has become the agenda with the most comprehensive study of the use of antibiotics in the world.
Antibiotic-resistant infections, which the World Health Organization lists as one of the top 10 health threats in 2050, are expected to kill more than 10 million people a year.
Cddep produced the “Drug Resistance Index” and revealed the use and resistance of antibiotics around the world. That the rate of drug use in different countries and consequently how much resistance is provided in the research areas under the focus of attention in Turkey.

The Financial Times reports that the proportion of antibiotic use is widespread in Turkey and stated that where high resistance to the drug was specified for this reason. The report, “Turkey is one of the countries with the highest rates of resistance among OECD countries because it is a very common way of administering antibiotics to patients.” Also in Serbia the use of high doses of drugs was used by administering antibiotics in inappropriate situations in hospitals ”.
On the other hand, Vietnam was the country that used the most antibiotics. It is recorded that antibiotics are very common in both agriculture and health sector in Vietnam. Vietnam ranks first in the world in terms of antibiotic use.
