Here are 5 more observed ailments in patients!

Studies in patients diagnosed with the corona virus in Spain revealed that Covid-19 caused skin problems, especially in young people. Spanish dermatologists have identified five different skin problems that appear to be related to Covid-19 in these patients.

As a result of examining the reported skin symptoms in patients with coronavirus, new symptoms were revealed that would not be sufficient for the diagnosis.

‘FINGER FINGER’

These included the skin problem, which the researchers described as a ‘Covid toe,’ which appears to be a cold bite-like rash on the toes. This problem was claimed to be seen primarily in young people who had the disease asymptomatically.

In the study published in the British Journal of Dermatology, all dermatologists in Spain were asked to share the details of patients with Covid-19 who had symptoms such as a rash and swelling in the past two weeks.

FIVE LEATHER DISORDERS IN COVID PATIENTS

As a result of examining the details of a total of 375 patients, the following five common skin problems were identified:

– Cold bite-like lesions on the hands and feet that also cause itching and pain. In general, they were observed in younger patients in the later stages of the disease and lasted, on average, 12 days. This problem was found in mild infections in 19 percent of the cases studied.

Small itchy and itchy rashes on the trunk, arms and legs. These were observed in middle-aged patients and disappeared in approximately 10 days before other symptoms. These skin problems were found in 9 percent of the examined patients.

– Pink or white blisters that look like hives. These are usually seen on the trunk, but are sometimes also detected on the palms. This problem was found in 19 percent of the examined patients.

– Spotted and minor skin rashes called maculopapules. This problem was observed in 47% of the cases studied, in people who had more serious infections. It disappeared in about seven days.

– purple rashes called Livedo, which lead to a general mottled appearance on the skin. This problem, indicative of poor blood circulation, was observed in older patients (6 percent of the cases examined) who had severe disease.

– The researchers stated that viruses can cause skin rashes, but are surprised that Covid-19 causes such diverse problems.

‘CANNOT BE USED TO DIAGNOSE’

Itchy and reddened skin are not currently among the symptoms of Covid-19. The researchers emphasized that there may be other causes of these skin problems, and more comprehensive studies are needed to establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship with Covid-19. “Therefore, it is not a good way to diagnose,” said one of the researchers, García-Doval, in his statement to the BBC. “The goal of this research is not to help people diagnose themselves, but to understand how the infection affects the body,” said Ruth Murphy, president of the British Association of Dermatologists.

The American Academy of Dermatology, it was claimed, also collected data to determine why skin problems occur in some patients and their underlying causes.
