While the gendarmerie seized the rifle to examine it, an autopsy on the 4 young men was carried out at the Izmir Institute of Forensic Medicine. Although the gendarmerie launched a large-scale investigation at the site, it was determined that the shotgun found at the site belonged to Suat Zengin (47), the olive trader father of one of the young men, Muharrem Zengin, and did not have a license. . The cartridges used in the incident and found at the scene were also determined to be the same as the cartridges seized during a search at the home of Muharrem Zengin’s father, Suat Zengin.

While the gendarmerie, which continues to investigate many aspects of the incident, focused on the suspicion of mass suicide, it was determined that Serkan Zangal was the last person to fire his shotgun. The gendarmerie left the trail of gunpowder in the hands of Serkan Zangal and is awaiting a report from the Criminal Department of the Gendarmerie General Command to determine the exact causes of death of 3 young men who were shot in the jaw.
On the other hand, the gendarmerie teams handed over the car, shotgun, cell phones and fingerprints taken from the vineyard house in the Kestelli district to the Criminal Department of the Gendarmerie General Command.
