Şevki B. (47), who violated the curfew in Bursa and threatened the police and journalists who filmed him, was detained. Şevki B., who was fined 3,186 Turkish liras, was released after his statement.
In Bursa, police teams established checkpoints in streets and squares in the curfew restriction applied in the framework of the fight against the corona virus.
Inspection teams from across the city detained Şevki B. walking down Dikkaldırım Street in the central Osmangazi district. The police teams reminded Şevki B. of the curfew and asked for his identity card. However, Şevki B. resisted not revealing his identity. Immediately afterwards, the police reinforcement teams were sent to the streets.
Şevki B., who calmed down with difficulty, was fined 3,186 TL for violating the curfew.
“YOU CAN’T PUBLISH THOSE IMAGES”
Şevki B., the journalists who filmed him while police teams were imposing criminal proceedings, said: “They cannot disseminate those images. They will erase them. What is it called?” he threatened.
Taken to the police station, Şevki B. was released after the statement was taken.
