In a written statement by Hamas Gaza official Yahya Sinvar, Qatar stated that a ceasefire was reached with Israel as a result of mediation efforts by Mohammad al-Imadi, the Head of the Gaza Reconstruction Committee.
Sinvar thanked Qatar for its support to the people of Gaza and noted that Gaza will return to what it was before the Israeli attacks.
