Greece, Turkey’s military delegation “Separation Procedures” of the technical meeting had discussed the NATO headquarters in denial.
According to the report by the official Greek agency ANA, citing diplomatic sources in Athens, it was stated that “the Greek delegation did not enter into a dialogue with the Turkish authorities.”
Denying that there was an exchange of views during the meeting where measures to avoid possible interference between military elements were discussed, Greek diplomatic sources said that a Greek official went to the office of the president of the NATO Military Committee to present his assessment of the proposals of the NATO NATO Secretary General for a possible de-stress mechanism.
The sources in question argued that “no dialogue was established with the Turkish officer”, claiming that the Head of the Military Committee “requested a series of explanations” about the assessments presented to the Greek officer.
“Technical meetings in the framework of the consultations carried out”, suggest the Greek sources, the Ankara statement, “unrealistic to avoid in Turkey possible sanctions is part of an effort to present the table,” he said.
