It is very difficult to understand that these vehicles, known as “add-ons” in the market, are formed by combining different cars. While many citizens suffer from purchasing additional cars, experts state that reliable expert reports should be obtained before purchasing a second hand car.
‘INSTEAD OF AN ACCIDENT, THE RISK OF DEATH INCREASES’
Automotive expert Murat Çevik, who made statements on the matter, claimed that added vehicles in the event of a possible accident will be divided. Emphasizing that the scammers are making paint and body parts professionally, Çevik said: “The increases increased with vehicle sales. The increase in vehicle sales and the emerging market during the pandemic period have affected this situation. Previously, the market for a vehicle was 40 thousand lire, but the same vehicle has now grown to 80 thousand lire. But our citizens unknowingly bought defective chassis vehicles, what we call add-on, at a high price. These additive tools are completely wrong tools. Increases the risk of death in the event of an accident. They are unhealthy tools. The reason we say it is not healthy is this, these vehicles do not have original manufacture calibrations. It was added completely at random in the industry. How much gauge can it be or how smooth will it be, in line with current conditions? Also, the reasons we call burns occur at every weld point. These points of combustion will explode quickly on impact and the vehicle will split. Our people do not know because now they are manufacturing paint and body parts in a professional way ”.
‘FRAUD HAS INCREASED ALONG WITH THE INCREASE IN SALES’
Underlining that citizens who want to buy second-hand cars should first bring the car to the expert, Murat Çevik said that almost all junk cars entered the market in a combination. Expressing that fraud has increased with increased sales, Çevik stated the following regarding the issue:
“When buying a new vehicle, it is absolutely necessary to go to the expert before buying it. An expert check should be done because they would not know the addition. They add 2 or 3 vehicles. There is no fixed place in the construction of these. Because the area where the vehicle is damaged can change. They add accordingly. Some of them are added from the panel, some are added from the chassis, or can be completely changed from the roof. If it is a standard place, you can show it to the citizens, but there is no standard as there are many uncertain points. This requires expert control. I mean, in the market, periods like the one I know, I understand, car master, forty-year-old master are over. Currently, these have also increased due to increases.
