Natural gas price rates, which will take effect in January, increased 1 percent in the subscriber groups for residential, commercial, industrial and power generation plants. Electricity rates, including taxes and funds, were claimed to have increased by approximately 6 percent for all consumer groups.

Anadolu ‘AgencyAccording to the news, the rate table for January was published on the website of Boru Hatları and Petrol Transportation Inc. (BOTAŞ).

Consequently, the sale price applied by BOTAŞ to gas distribution companies for residential consumers was determined at 1264 lira per 1000 cubic meters of natural gas, an increase of 1 percent compared to the rate in force in December, and 1414 lira for commercial, industrial and power generation plants.

Natural gas price rates are calculated monthly.

Electricity rates increased by 6 percent on average

Electricity rates were raised about 6 percent for all consumer groups, including taxes and funds.

The decision of the Board of Directors of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on the matter was published in a copy of the Official Gazette.

According to the calculation made from the tariff tables of the Official Gazette, an average increase of 6 percent was made in electricity tariffs for groups of residential, industrial and commercial subscribers, including taxes and funds.

This rate may vary slightly according to rate groups.
