In France, the Council of Science warned the authorities in its report, which was sent to the government on December 23 and announced to the public today, that the New Year celebrations will lead to an increase in the number of cases, so you can lose control of the epidemic.

The Council’s proposal, which proposed 3 options to keep the increase in cases under control, to take strict restriction measures in some regions where the epidemic can spread as of December 28, was not accepted by the government.

In the second option, the Scientific Council recommended that additional measures be implemented, including the limitation of social or economic activities, including the month of January, in the light of scientific data, and stated that the third option could be the adoption of restrictions and tougher measures, including the possibility of a prolonged shutdown due to new hospitalization figures after the New Year holidays.

According to the latest data shared yesterday by the Public Health Agency, 364 people died in the last 24 hours in the Covid-19 outbreak and 2,960 new cases were detected.

While the loss of life from Covid-19 in the country increased to 63,109, the number of people detected with the virus increased from 2,960 to 2,562,646.
