Speaking to Channel 12, Uday Azizi said he was sent to the hospital to be examined and monitored hours after the vaccination, after Maccabi officials realized his mistakes. It is believed that the healthcare professional administering the vaccine is unaware that each Pfizer tube contains several doses of the vaccine.

Azizi said that so far he has only experienced mild side effects and local pain and some redness at the injection site. No additional effect was observed after the error was told.

Azizi said: “I have no problem taking four doses again. Let’s be optimistic about the vaccine, the epidemic and the new year.”

Azizi said that he will likely need to receive the second dose of the vaccine within 3 weeks and said that people need not fear the vaccine.

The national vaccination program began on Sunday and health professionals received their first injections. Vaccines have been administered to people 60 and older as of Monday.

The Minister of Health, Yuli Edelstein, announced yesterday that 30,000 people were vaccinated in two days.

Since the start of the pandemic, the number of cases in Israel has reached 380,995. The death toll is 3,111.
