Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy made a statement regarding the provisional injunction decision taken by the European Court of Human Rights.

In reaction to the decision, Aksoy used the following statements:

* The decision taken today by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the request for amparo filed against our country in the framework of the Armenian attacks against Azerbaijan is completely devoid of legal basis.

* The ECHR has hit its credibility and reputation with its decision based on the social media posts and press sections it has presented to support Armenia’s unfounded claims and without seeking the opinion of our Government.

* The Court, the parties to the conflict are directly or indirectly involved and asks Turkey in this context, to have acted with political motives far from the legal basis and demonstrated that they were divorced from the reality on the ground.

* The ECHR, unfortunately, has been a tool in the efforts of circles known to abuse the law and has tarnished the reputation it has earned in the field of human rights in its 70-year history.
