According to this report, Salih noted that Khafter’s militias were in a difficult situation against the Libyan army, noting that the provision of aid to Hafter’s militias in the city of Terhune, southeast of the capital Tripoli, was “at edge of the cliff”.
According to the AA news; Claiming that the civil war will take a new stage against Khafter’s militias in the coming weeks, Salih said in the report that the Russians wrote: “The Russians asked Hafter to declare a ceasefire due to the increasing difficulty in the conflict zones. ” said.
RUSSIA: “THE DESCRIPTION IS SUITABLE FOR THE BERLIN CONFERENCE”
Noting that the Russians asked Hafter to make a statement on the proposal for “the reconstruction of the Presidential Council”, Salih noted that his statement made a written request to comply with the decision of the Berlin Conference on the call to stop the war in Tripoli and the establishment of the new “Presidential Council”.

GOVERNMENT FORCES CONTINUE TO OBTAIN SUPERIORITY IN THE FIELD
The Libyan army has recently made many achievements in the military field in the west of the country, cleaning the area of about 3 thousand square kilometers of the Hafter militia.
Government forces launched an operation to take back the city of Terhune, which they used as an operations and supply center in attacks by Khafter’s militias against the capital.
Following recent government achievements in the field, Hafter said that “the UN-adopted Suheyrat Agreement, which describes the political transition process” has expired, “should decide on the appropriate institution to administer the country.”
After this speech, Hafter’s supporters took to the streets and staged demonstrations demanding that the coup d’etat take control.
A few days later, Hafter returned to the cameras and said that the Suheyrat Accord came to an end and “accepted the authority of the people.”
However, this initiative by Hafter, which also meant a blow to his allies in his region, met with an international reaction.
Ahmed al-Mismari, spokesman for the so-called Libyan National Army affiliated with Khafter, claimed that they had declared a unilateral ceasefire during the month of Ramadan, but just hours before this announcement, the Khafter-affiliated militia carried out rocket attacks south of the capital. The Libyan government had announced that they would continue to defend themselves, describing this Hafter step as “deception”.
