Our National Team, which defeated Serbia 3-2 in the final of the U19 Women’s Volleyball European Championship, became the European champion.
Competing in the 2020 CEV European Women’s Under-19 Volleyball Championship, the Under-19 Women’s National Team became European Champion. The Moon-Stars, who made it to the final by defeating Belarus 3-1, won the gold medal by beating Serbia 3-2 in the final. The Nationals won the first set 25-17, then fell 2-1 in the match in lost sets 16-25 and 23-25. The Moon-Stars, who managed to win the fourth set 25-16, beat their opponent 15-10 in the final set, taking the situation to 3-2 and became European Champions.
After the fight in the Bosnian city of Zenica, the nationals experienced great joy. While İpar Özay Kurt was the match’s top scorer with 28 points in the nationals, Sude Hacıustafaoğlu followed İpar with 20 points. In the nationals, Hanife Nur Özaydınlı 9, İlayda Uçak 6, Sude Naz Uzun 3, Elif Su Eriçek 3, Lila Şengün 2, Melisa Ege Bükmen 2 and Beren Yeşilırmak 1 were the names that contributed to the championship match. While Serbia was second in the tournament, Belarus, which beat France 3-1 in the fight for third place, came in third.

Our girls won the U19 European Young Girls’ Championship championship for the second time in their history after 2012. The young sultans again faced Serbia in the 2012 final and became champions 3-0. Our girls ranked third in 2008, 2014, and 2016, and fourth in 2018.
