AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to Baku to attend the “Victory Parade” to be held in Azerbaijan.
The highlights of Erdogan’s speech, who made a statement before the visit, are as follows:
At the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, we will travel to Baku for an official visit to Azerbaijan. After the attacks launched by Armenia, the glorious Azerbaijani army fought successfully to save their lands in occupied Karabakh. The strong leadership of President Aliyev and the heroism of the Azerbaijani army are factors in achieving this success. Despite the treacherous attacks by the Armenians against civilians, Azerbaijan did not overshadow their just fight.
Praise be to the 44 days of hard fighting, today the star and the crescent fly with pride in the skies of Karabakh. The joy of ending 30 years of injustice is happening. From day one we supported the just struggle of our Azerbaijani brothers with all the means that we could.
We also saved our nation from the shame that the one-party CHP inflicted on our country in 1944. By participating in tomorrow’s victory ceremonies in Baku, we will share the joy of the Azerbaijani people. Azerbaijan’s victory paved the way for further development of our cooperation. We will be with our Azerbaijani brothers in rebuilding. We will also review joint efforts to combat the epidemic.
