What are the types of failures?
Directional pulsed fault
Such fault planes are just lateral slip faults formed by horizontal slip that is in a vertical position close to 90 degrees on the ground and slopes slightly towards the ground. These faults can be left or right depending on their offsets. North Anatolia Fault, right; The Eastern Anatolian Fault is a left-side slip fault.
Normal pulsed fault
In such faults, the block on one side of the fault plane rises and falls on the other side. Here again, the movement is developing relatively. In other words, while one block rises, the other can stay in place, or while one side stays in place, the other side can fall. For example; The faults associated with the Gediz earthquakes of 1970 and Dinar of 1995 are normal slip faults.
Reverse pulsed fault
These types of faults are also vertical slip faults, and movement only along the fault plane occurs in the opposite direction to the direction of the slope and the blocks move closer to each other. For example; The faults associated with the 1975 Lice earthquake are reverse slip faults.
Atmal Verev Fault (Oblique)
They are faults in which the movement along the fault plane is both vertical and horizontal.
