President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş announced that he ordered the relevant units to launch an investigation after the images.
Erbaş, who shared his social media account, stated:
* After the pictures posted on social media and different media and said they had experience in a Quran Course in our Elbistan district, Kahramanmaraş, I immediately instructed our relevant units to initiate an investigation.
* Our ignorance of our children, our future, can never be approved by any understanding that ignores their dignity, covets their rights and resorts to violence. I will follow the topic to the end.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND JUDICIAL INVESTIGATION STARTED
The Elbistan district governorate reported that an administrative and judicial investigation into the matter was launched.
The following statements were included in the district governor’s statement:
* It was necessary to make a press release on the images published on social networks of the Bedirefendi Koran course affiliated with our mufti.
* In the first study, the images were understood to belong to two 10 and 15 year old students who were in our Quran course.
* Administrative and judicial investigations on the subject have been urgently initiated. The public will also be informed of the outcome.
GOVERNOR AND PROVINCIAL MUFTI CALLED CHP MP
Öztunç announced that the governor of Kahramanmaraş and the provincial mufti called him and said they quickly opened the investigation.
In Öztunç’s post, “After the image I just shared, our Kahramanmaraş governor and provincial mufti called me on the phone and said they had opened the necessary investigation quickly. I would like to thank our Kahramanmaraş Governor and Provincial Mufti. These children used the expressions of all of us.
