Students living in the Dodurga district, which is located about 50 kilometers from the center of the district, find it difficult to connect to the EBA from their homes due to the infrastructure problem and the lack of GSM networks.
The students who arrive in the mountains attracted by the internet with the vehicle of the students’ parents and the Head of the Neighborhood, Rasih Mete, want the problem they are experiencing to be resolved.
Muhtar Rasih Mete said that he did not receive phone calls in many parts of the neighborhood and that students are experiencing big problems right now due to distance education.
Half the Internet and half don’t have phones
Mete claimed that the problem was not solved despite calling GSM companies many times to get a solution, and used the following statements;
* Children reach some points that the Internet attracts. Those who have cars come to yours. Those who are absent come on foot and struggle to give lessons in the shade of the olive trees in the heat.
* Most of the time, the Internet does not work where they come from. Half of them do not have Internet, half do not have telephone. We hope for help from the authorities so that our children do not fall behind in their lessons.
CALLED TO THE AUTHORITIES
Betül Baran, 13, a seventh-grade student at Gölbent Ramazan Patat High School, claimed that they came to the areas where the Internet is used for lessons because there is no Internet in the neighborhood. Noting that they sometimes experience problems in the areas where they connect to the Internet, Baran said: “We are going through difficult times. We expect from the authorities a solution to the problem we are experiencing, ”he said.
Student Burak Gökmen (13) said that due to the communication problem in the village, they came to the mountainous area to join the live class.
Explaining that his family wanted to have the Internet connected to the house and the officials who came said “The box is broken” and returned without connecting, Gökmen said: “No one helps us. Although we have a phone and a tablet, we cannot attend classes live because we don’t have the Internet. We are falling behind the lessons, “he said. İHA
