The bullying scandal at the CHP is growing! In the investigation, which began with the allegation that CHP Maltepe’s deputy district director Umut Karagöz harassed a 20-year-old woman, an arrest warrant was issued.
Karagöz allegedly harassed the young woman by forcibly closing her in a restaurant, was arrested by the court to which she was taken and sent to prison.
After the scandal emerged, it was alleged that some names, including the provincial president of CHP Istanbul, Canan Kaftancıoğlu, tried to cover up the incident by meeting with the victim’s family.
Photos of Umut Karagöz, who was arrested for harassment, participated in several protests by women.
Kaftancıoğlu’s silence continues
On the other hand, reactions to Canan Kaftancıoğlu on social media are growing like an avalanche. It was alleged that Karagöz, detained for harassment, was a close friend of Kaftancıoğlu and entered the CHP Maltepe district organization from his quota.
Barış Yarkadaş reaction

I am writing to take note of the story: I cannot remain silent on the incident of sexual assault involving CHP Maltepe UK District Board Member After being imprisoned, the United Kingdom committed an inhuman crime and tarnished the values of our match. It must be expelled from the lot immediately. The victim’s statement is obvious.
