Who cannot benefit from the secondary education scholarship?
Students who benefit from the Secondary Education Scholarship from the General Directorate of Foundations, students who receive non-reimbursable educational aids and scholarships from public institutions, and those who receive a necessity pension from the General Directorate of Foundations cannot benefit from the secondary education scholarship. Secondary education scholarships are not awarded to students studying in kindergarten in official schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and students who are not Turkish citizens cannot benefit from the secondary education scholarship. Scholarships for students who are entitled to receive scholarships while receiving formal education in official schools, moving to a private or open high school, open high school, or open vocational high school.
I am benefiting from the Grants from the General Directorate of Foundations. Do I have to submit an application during each educational period?
No. The scholarships of students who receive scholarships for secondary education or higher education continue during the normal period of education of educational institutions, as long as their situation is eligible for the scholarship in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Can the siblings benefit from the same type of scholarship?
No. Siblings cannot benefit from the same type of scholarship at the same time. However, if students who are entitled to receive higher education scholarships of the quota specified in additional article 1 of the Regulations for Higher Education Scholarships of the General Directorate of Foundations, both brothers continue to benefit from higher education scholarships in if they have siblings with scholarships for higher education.
Who cannot benefit from the higher education scholarship?
According to subsection (1) of article 5 entitled “Students who will not receive a scholarship” of the Regulations for Higher Education Scholarships of the General Directorate of Foundations;
a) Students who earn at least the minimum wage or earn income from working in permanent employment,
b) Foreign students,
c) Students of the police academy and military school,
ç) Students studying for additional time,
d) Master’s and PhD students,
e) Students who receive non-refundable educational aid and scholarships from public institutions,
f) Students who receive a pension due to the need of the General Directorate,
g) Higher education scholarships are not awarded to students whose scholarship has been terminated for failing while benefiting from the scholarship from the General Directorate in the previous academic year.
However, according to paragraph (2) of the same article;
