The incident took place in a park in Beylikdüzü around 9:40 p.m. on August 16. Apparently, there was a discussion about “You looked at my girlfriend” between Berat Çerman (19) and a group. After this discussion, Berat Çerman and his friend Faruk U., who met the same group in the park, were attacked with a knife.

While Faruk U. managed to escape the scene after the knife blow he received, the group members kicked Berat Çermen, who was stabbed from many parts, for a long time. Severely injured when the attackers fled the scene, Berat Çerman crawled to a nearby grocery store.
Police and medical teams were sent to the scene at the news of those who saw the young man fall in front of the market. Berat Çerman, who was taken to the hospital by medical teams, could not be saved and died. Faruk U., who was hospitalized with injuries, was released after his treatment. It was learned that a person related to the murder was arrested.
