Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu said that in the last 48 hours fires broke out in 35 different locations, 25 of which were open areas, 5 of which were houses and 5 of which were forest fires, and that the fires were intervened without loss of life.
In his written statement, Zorluoğlu stated that a covering fire broke out in the forested area of Akyazı district of Ortahisar district last night, and that the fire was extinguished in a short time with the joint work of fire brigades from Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra. Stating that attention should be paid not to start fires, Zorluoğlu continued as follows:
“The fire that happened last night in our Akyazi neighborhood was controlled in a short time by our Fire Department teams. In addition, our TİSKİ teams provided water to the area. In Trabzon, 25 open areas, 5 houses and 5 houses in the last 48 hours. There were fires in 35 different points, including forest fires, and fortunately for us, the necessary intervention was made without any loss of life. “
