With the Interior Ministry circular, a curfew will be imposed on weekends until a new decision is made. The production, manufacturing and supply chains will be exempt from this restriction and will be able to serve within the specified hours.

In this context, the curfew began at 9:00 p.m. on the weekend. It will end at 05:00 am on Monday, including Saturdays and Sundays.

ARE THE WEEKEND MARKETS OPEN?

On Saturdays and Sundays when there are restrictions, markets, grocery stores, butchers and dried nuts may operate between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. On days with a curfew, intercity trips can be made by public transport, except in the mandatory situations that are specified in the circular.

EXCLUDED SPACES IN STREET RESTRICTIONS

During the curfew, some business lines will be exempted from the restriction, ensuring the continuity of the production, manufacturing, supply and logistics chains, and the continuity of health, agricultural and forestry activities.

On Saturdays and Sundays, when there are restrictions, markets, grocery stores, greengrocers, butchers and nuts may operate between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., limiting itself to meeting the mandatory needs of citizens (except those over 65 and under 20 ) and not driving (except disabled citizens)) may go to the market, grocery store, greengrocer, butcher and greengrocer closest to their home. Legal proceedings will be started under article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code for those who do not comply with the measures against the coronavirus announced by the Ministry.
