A fire broke out in the forested area near the settlements next to the Batıayaz Büyükkaraçay dam in the district at 10.30am for an unidentified reason.
At the notification of the people around, 10 firefighters, 2 helicopters, 16 forest fire extinguishers, 8 sprinklers, 3 trucks, scientific workers, 1 bulldozer, 2 bulldozers, 5 tank trucks, 2 ambulances, gendarmerie personnel and electricity distribution company are among them. 184 people were sent to the region. Firefighting works are continuing around the Yaylıca, Seldiren and Batıayaz neighborhoods in the region.
Citizens left the region with their vehicles
The entrances to the Seldiren district were closed due to a forest fire in the Samandağ district of Hatay.
While the gendarmerie teams were taking security measures in the region, some citizens drove away from the fire area with their vehicles. As firefighting activities continued, the scale of the fire was seen from the center of Hatay city.
