Turkey’s first themed vocational school opened 4 years ago Aksu Aircraft Maintenance Technology Vocational Technical High School, continues to lead the way with projects in the field of aviation. The school, which made a name for itself by laying the T67-type training aircraft donated by the Turkish Aeronautical Association in 2017, and then placing the Boeing 737-400-type passenger plane, which was scrapped at Antalya airport, in the garden that same year, he attracted attention with his investments in the field of aviation. The airplane museum placed in the school garden; As it was transformed into a cinema and library, students began receiving practical training in the cabin. The founding director of the Khaldun Agile School visited different provinces with a large number of countries in Turkey to enrich the workshop. The corridors of the school were reorganized like the airport runway, while 3 trucks full of Turkish Technic materials were brought to the school inside Turkish Airlines.
F4 PLANE IN THE SCHOOL GARDEN
After serving in the Turkish Air Force for the past 30 years, the 52-year-old ‘F4 E Phantom’ type fighter jet left the castle (completed its flight life) and moved to the ‘Tired Warriors’ park in the garden of the 1st Air Maintenance Factory Directorate in Eskişehir. Contacted with the Turkish Air Force, it was dismantled and taken to Antalya with 3 trucks. The fighter plane, which was placed in the school garden last July, was up in 7 days and a helipad was prepared in the garden. The school principal, Haldun Çevik, began meeting with the Turkish Air Force to bring a helicopter to the school.
SIMULATOR IN COCKPIT 750 THOUSAND LIRA
Çevik, who wants to add a simulator on the passenger plane for students to gain flight experience, received 750,000 lire of support in his meetings with the Ministry of Education and the Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA). The simulator, which cost 750 thousand lira, was placed in the cabin of the passenger plane in the schoolyard in 1 month. With the simulator, students can pick up the plane from any airport they want and take it to any of the 52 thousand airports in the world, with a real experience. By offering a one-to-one flight experience from speed to steering, from landing gear to viewing angles and even warnings, the simulator attracts the attention of parents and students.

Aksu district education director Jacob Hopla is for better education of students who have mobilized all facilities, said the school is not an example in Turkey. Hoplar said that with a program they will create when face-to-face education begins after coronavirus measures end, students in all schools will experience flight with this simulator.
