The highlights of Erdogan’s statements are as follows;
I would like to welcome to our country our esteemed artists who attended our opening program from abroad and whose performances we will hear.
I remember retired CSO Chief Violinist Oktay Dalayser, who passed away last week, on behalf of myself and my nation.
Our artist, who worked at CSO for 45 years, including 30 years as chief violinist, left an exceptional legacy. Once again, I wish God’s mercy for him and patience for his family and the artistic community.
We had to organize our opening program with limited participation due to coronavirus measures. We intend to overcome the epidemic as soon as possible by following the measures together. We organize both our political work, negotiations and acceptances according to the reality of the epidemic.
We chose to open our concert hall immediately rather than postpone it because it is extremely important to the culture and art of our country. Unfortunately, the building next to us was not enough to meet the demand.

When we took office, some feasibility studies had been carried out, although few. We have eliminated the deficiencies by reconsidering these studies and accelerating the project.
CONSISTS OF 5 BLOCKS
We managed to complete this project, which went on for a long time, following him personally. Built to compete with its peers in the world, CSO Concert Campus consists of 5 blocks in an area of 14.5 hectares.
This project includes a 2023-seat concert hall, a 500-seat blue hall, a 600-seat historic hall, an exhibition hall, a gift shop, and a concert hall open for 10,000 people. It is designed to meet all needs.
“ALL THE BEAUTY WILL BE REFLECTED IN THE NOTES HERE”
It is a special place not only in terms of architecture but also for its technical characteristics. Concert halls large and small were built according to the principle of natural acoustics with world-renowned acoustic experts.

With the relief of the epidemic conditions, it is expected that this place will become an oasis of art and music for art lovers in the center of our capital. The sounds of the world of each language and each string will be collected here, and all the beauties that we carry within will be reflected in the notes.
Inspired by the scheme of Pythagoras and Farabi, of the portraits of Mozart and Bach … The separation that emanates from the heart of a violin, the longing that resonates in the most elegant tone of a baglama will fall again in our hearts.
“I WISH ANKARA AND ALL THE ARTISTS”
I hope that this magnificent work, dazzling in every respect, once again benefits Ankara and all art lovers. On behalf of myself and my nation, I sincerely congratulate our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, especially the minister and his team, from the architect who participated in the project, to his engineer, to his worker, who brought this work to our city .
According to the late Yahya Kemal, we have 3 great arts, which are above the world average, in addition to state building and military service. Yahya Kemal lists the spark plugs as architecture, music, and poetry.
When we look at our history, we see that along with architecture and poetry, music has a very important place in our culture. The curtains and maqams that bring Turkish classical music to life are signs of my long serenity, whose roots go back millennia.
The late Yahya Kemal expresses this fact in his poem Itri as follows:
From Tâ Budin to Irâk, to Egypt,
From the distant land conquered
Free wind over the homeland,
Of all the springs that have taken sound.
The genie brought us together so much that
Our seven hundred year history
Heard the old bananas.
Turkish music is the essence and the summary of this ancient accumulation, our centennial journey and our millennial history. It is a treasure that carries the wisdom of the Khorasan saints, the abundance of Transoxiana, and the wisdom of Anatolia to this day. Our songs and songs are the monuments of our presence in these lands, reflected in sound and lyrics.
We should see all branches of music, from artistic music to folk music, as rivers that enrich our culture. Whatever the place of Itri in the history of Turkish music is the place of Karacaoğlan.

We can never distinguish between our musicians, composers, and artists like we do between our musical genres. There have been serious mistakes in music for a time in our country.
“TURKISH MUSIC HAS ALSO SHARED FROM JAKOBEN MIND”
From the Jacobin mentality that Turkey has sadly collapsed like a nightmare on the part of Turkish music, art led to the desertification of our lives. There were periods when Turkish popular and artistic music was banned under the name Music Revolution.
Those who thought they could transform people through pressure and bullying thought they could change people’s taste in music with bans. This is the reason for the enrichment of our cultural and artistic world in the last 18 years, with a more colorful, original and free character. Turkey during our period only in politics, economy, not on the defensive, culture, art, music, literature, freed from chains.
Poets, writers, they make the distinction between artists, the music that people listen to, we put an end to the views of Turkey by dividing the old clothes they wear.
We try to embrace all these lands as an achievement of our country without getting trapped in any complex. We have strived to own any job that increases diversity.
In Istanbul, we are now building an opera house worthy of our Istanbul by demolishing the AKM, which is now in fragments. I hope that we will put this work, the construction of which we closely follow, especially my minister, at the service of Istanbul and our country as soon as possible.
When we took office, the 42 cultural center in our country, we increased it to 116 adding 74 more.
We increased the number of private theaters supported from 59 to 328 and the amount of support from 850 thousand lire to 12 million lire. During the period of the epidemic, we provided serious support from film to music, from theater to our publishers.
While someone was pursuing the abuse, we protected our artists with concrete measures such as the VAT discount and the assistance package. I hope we continue to support our art and artists from now on. Once again I wish the CSO Concert Area the best of luck.
I wish success to all our artists who will work here. I would like to express my gratitude to our Minister of Culture and Tourism and his team for their contribution to bring this beautiful work to our country.
