He said he heard his family and those close to him under the rubble, but was unable to hear or communicate with others. He said a wall came down on them and his brother brought him closer to him after a while. The dog on his lap got stuck in a different place than fear. However, he said he understood that he was living with barking when he called his dog. After being rescued 9 hours after the wreckage, he waited for his dog next to the wreckage. The dog named Ares, who was pulled under the rubble by the IHH search and rescue team 65 hours later, was taken to the vet. If the owner of the rescued dog came forward, he did not leave for a moment.
The moments when the dog was rescued from the rubble were reflected second by second on the cameras of mobile phones. It did not go unnoticed that the dog named Ares realized that he would be rescued and kept calm. The first response to the slightly injured dog was made in the area of the wreck.

Gizem İleri, who was rescued 9 hours later from the wreckage of the Rıza Bey apartment, said: “We were on the 4th floor and the apartment collapsed in 3 seconds. Ares was on my lap, but when a place under the rubble opened, my brother threw me. Ares fled the other way out of fear. There was a column between us and we talked while I was there. My dog reacted as I spoke. The wall fell on us.
Beneath the rubble, you listen to your family and others who are trapped inside. You just can’t make noise outside. People outside can’t hear you, they can barely hear you. They are trying to find where your covered voice is coming from. But they found us very quickly, the time period seems to be trying to survive. It seemed short to me, but they pulled me after 9 hours.
Not everyone was able to leave, my mother and my brother left, but we could not find our relatives living in the same apartment. The reason rescue efforts have been going on for a long time now is very sensitive. They checked our location 20 times to see if anyone else was there. They think and control all kinds of dangers. What matters under the rubble is that you can breathe. I spoke to those who came to rescue me while I was under the rubble.

IHH search and rescue team Ahmet Çelik said: “Our mysterious brother was pulled out of the rubble approximately 9 hours after the earthquake. He told us that his dog was down there. We couldn’t get to Ares because our searches went in different directions. After Ares barked, we determined his location and continued our work accordingly. It was under a 12-inch block, survived trapped in the middle. Ares rested his head on my shoulder and waited on my shoulder until the rescue work was done. I knew he was injured, his right arm was injured, ”he said.
