Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said that the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport metro line will open in April 2021.
Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, conducted examinations at the Göktürk station of the Gayrettepe Istanbul Airport metro line, which is in progress.
Minister Karaismailoğlu said: “Between Kağıthane, Istanbul Airport will be put into service in April 2021, and Gayrettepe Istanbul Airport will be put into service in the last quarter of 2021.”
Emphasizing that the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport metro will be the record-breaking project in many respects, Karaismailoğlu said, “For the first time in our country, ten excavation machines were used in this metro project. Our project went down in history as the fastest excavated metro project in Turkey. The fastest subway cars in Türkiye7n will be used here. 80km underground car speed limit in Turkey, but this line was projected to do 120km / h speed, “he said.
