Confirming the decision, Antalya Provincial Health Director Adem Hilir said: “In terms of the security of the investigation, he was removed from his post as chief physician.” It was learned that Chief Physician Alkan returned to his main duty until the investigation was completed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

According to the claim; Chief Physician Alkan determined that two nurses were not on duty during routine ward checks. At this, he scolded Çalışkan and Yetkin in a room where other unit managers were also and asked them to write “I went to another service in my service” 500 times on the A-4 paper as punishment for leaving the office.

THE BOSS INSISTS

The nurses, who opposed the request, argued that they would not accept such punishment and that official disciplinary rules should be applied because they left their posts. However, when this proposal was not accepted by the chief physician, Çalışkan and Yetkin wrote 500 times in document A-4, “I am stupid, I went to another service”. Çalışkan and Yetkin signed the 7-page text with the note “It was written at the insistence of the Chief Physician.” The health unions reacted to the practice.
