President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave critical messages on coronavirus measures, vaccination studies and the Wealth Fund meeting in his statement at Friday’s prayer.
The highlights of President Erdoğan’s statements are as follows:
Coronavirus measures: The Scientific Committee is the main responsible for this work. Do all kinds of jobs. Although we have announced many measures over time, we see that our citizens do not pay attention to this issue. We see that they smoke and do not wear masks. The mask, distance and hygiene are very important to us. Unless attention is paid to this, it is inevitable that it will increase and continue. We must and will take action with the steps taken by our Ministry of Health. We continue working with the determined attitude of our Ministry of Health and our collaborators. The increase in the number of cases and deaths is the panorama that we regret.
Vaccine studies: This is not math. We act on the reports that the institutions that carry out the work give us. They tell us it may be April at the earliest. We have negotiations with Russia and China on the importation of vaccines. These continue. We started using them on volunteers with some vaccines sent to Peyder pey. Studies continue to see results as soon as possible.
Wealth fund meeting: I am the official director of the Patrimonial Fund. We continue with the decisions we made before, in the future. There is nothing extraordinary here. In the next period, we want to place the Endowment Fund in a different place globally. The visit of the Emir of Qatar yesterday is within this scope. Here 11 agreements were signed. The demands on the Kanal Istanbul project are increasing. Our investments do not stop. The number one project worth considering among them is Kanal Istanbul.
