Inflation reached its annual peak in November. According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute’s consumer price index in November of the previous year, it registered an increase of 14.03 percent over the same period. The monthly increase was 2.3 percent.
THE LOWEST INCREASE IN THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO GROUP WITH 0.67 PERCENT PER YEAR
The other large groups where the increase was low compared to the same month of the previous year were clothing and footwear with 0.99 percent, communication with 5.19 percent and education with 7.00 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the main groups with the greatest increase compared to the same month of the previous year were various goods and services with 29.42 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 21.08 percent and transportation with 18.67 percent, respectively. .
THE ONLY GROUP THAT SHOWS A MONTHLY DECREASE HAS EDUCATION WITH 0.19 PERCENT
In terms of the main spending groups, the only main group that decreased in November 2020 was education with 0.19 percent. Although there was no monthly variation in the main group of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, the groups that showed a lower increase were communication with 0.12 percent and health with 0.80 percent. On the other hand, the groups with high increases in November 2020 were transportation with 4.51 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 4.16 percent, and household goods with 1.69 percent, respectively.
