In ANKARA, Ümitcan Uygun’s mother, Gülay Uygun (48), who was arrested and released in connection with the incident of Aleyna Çakır’s discovery at her home, was found dead in the mountainous area. In the first examination it was determined that Gülay Uygun had ended her life by leaving a suicide note.
Aleyna Çakır was found dead in a house in Keçiören district on June 3. Images of Ümitcan Uygun, who is said to be her lover, used violence against Çakır, leaked onto social media after a while. Immediately afterwards, Ümitcan Uygun was detained by police teams. Uygun was released after his statement. Gülay Uygun, Ümitcan Uygun’s mother, who was a teacher, went out in the morning and said that she went to a relative’s home. Her relatives, who could not hear Gülay Uygun, reported the situation to the police. The police and relatives of Uygun began searching for the missing teacher. Gülay Uygun was found shot in the head by her relatives in a mountainous area near a relative’s home. In the control carried out by the incoming medical teams, it was determined that Gülay Uygun died. In the first examination it was determined that Gülay Uygun committed suicide.
