AKP spokesman Ömer Çelik made a statement after his party’s Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting.
Çelik said: “The discretion of the Presidency is a right that is developed within the framework of the laws. Therefore, the proposed approach appears to be destroying academic autonomy is invalid. Çelik said: “Children with SMA are our students, our children. It arose in MYK. Treatment does not exactly cure these children. The leader of a political party says that there is a cure, should they be deprived of it? There is nothing scientific that this treatment cures children. Does a state visually allow its children to be used as guinea pigs? The lamb and the pupil of all of us. We are spending thousands of times of these figures for children, I am ashamed even when I say this, sacrifice. This state will protect these children. If the treatment is approved by the scientific committee, said about this or another treatment, the Republic of Turkey will allow it to reach these children also from previous treatment. I would like to thank our citizens who criticized us and our citizens who went about this business without knowing the issue. Ultimately, they take care of children, they have a place in our heads.
