Azerbaijan: Armenian troops suffer heavy losses

As operations launched against Armenia to regain the occupied territories of Azerbaijan on the sixth day continue, the losses of the Armenian army are increasing.

In a written statement made by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, it was stated that “today the Azerbaijani army moved in certain directions establishing new bases and clearing the region from enemy forces.”

The statement stated that Armenian troops suffered heavy losses from September 27 to October 2 at 8:00 p.m. local time, and it was announced that Armenia should withdraw from its positions along the entire front and from important regions of the region.

Between September 27 and September 2, the Ministry had a total of approximately 230 tanks and other armored vehicles, 250 artillery, rocket launchers, mortars, 38 air defense systems, 10 command points, control and command observation, 7 ammunition depots, 130 ‘reported that more than one vehicle and one Russian-made S-300 air defense system were destroyed.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu shared a message of support by tagging Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov on his social media account.

Minister Çavuşoğlu used the following statements:

* Although we are two separate states, we act as one state when appropriate.

* Therefore, no one should find our support for Azerbaijan strange.
