The General Directorate of Meteorology warned of heavy downpours in 18 provinces, including Istanbul. According to the Meteorology data, the precipitation will be effective for 4 days throughout Istanbul.
Turkey weathered the autumn rain. Heavy rains arrive from midday on Wednesday over the central Mediterranean. On the weekend, in addition to this rainy system, a new cool and rainy climate from the Balkans will affect our country. Rainfall, which will be seen in the form of torrential and electrical storms, is expected to be heavy in the north and west of the Marmara region and the Aegean coast on Wednesday, and around Thrace and the western Mediterranean on Thursday.
HEALTHY WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN 17 PROVINCES
With the precipitation wave, air temperatures above seasonal norms will decrease from our western regions. Many provinces were alerted on the meteorology website. The provinces warned by heavy rains that can cause flooding are:
Kayseri, Sivas, Niğde, Yozgat, Nevşehir, Gaziantep, Kilis, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Elazığ, Tunceli, Bingöl, Samsun, Tokat, Adana, and Kahramanmaraş.
THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE FOR 4 DAYS IN ISTANBUL
According to weather data, rainfall will also affect Istanbul in general. With 4 days of precipitation, the air temperature will drop to 10 degrees. The precipitation is not expected to be strong enough to cause flooding. The uninterrupted rain will be effective until Sunday.
NO RAIN IS EXPECTED IN THE EARTHQUAKE AREA
Meteorology also announced the weather in Izmir, which is trying to heal wounds from the earthquake. No rain is expected in Izmir for the next 5 days. The air temperature will be around 21 degrees during the day and at night. At night, the lowest temperature will be around 10-12 degrees. In Izmir, where the weather will be partly cloudy, only a light, medium-force wind will be effective.
