In accordance with the decision of the President published in the Official Gazette, it was decided to extend the application and payments of the first installment of articles 3 and 4 of the Restructuring Law No. 7256 for 1 month from the end of the periods indicated in the articles mentioned.
In said articles, the debtors who want to avail themselves of the provisions of the law; The first tranche of the amounts to be paid to the Ministry of Finance and Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, special provincial administrations, municipalities and YIKOB collection offices until January 31, 2021, first delivery of the amounts to be paid to the offices of collection assigned to Social Security. It was expected to be paid on February 28, 2021.

According to the latest data from the Tax Administration, as of December 28, 6 million 575 thousand taxpayers have filed, within the scope of the law, which was published in the Official Gazette on November 17. In this context, while 7 million 330 thousand configuration files were created, an account receivable of 76 thousand million 45 million 643 thousand TL was structured in a period of 40 days. Taxpayers paid 1 trillion 280 million lire on the same date.
Taxpayers who request a restructuring according to the law and make advance payments are almost forced to pay only the principal of their tax debts.
Within the scope of the law, while the penalties for current tax losses of accumulated tax debts are eliminated, the default interest and the calculated increases are restructured by applying the current monthly variation rates of the National Producer Price Index (D-PPI) in the corresponding periods.
If structured debts are prepaid through February 1, 2021, 90 percent of the calculated D-PPI amount and 25 percent of the original administrative penalties are reduced.
