The communications chief of the Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, made a statement on his social media account.

In his post in English on his Twitter account, Altun condemned Charlie Hebdo magazine and said:

“The anti-Muslim agenda of French President Emmanuel Macron is paying off! Charlie Hebdo has published an alleged cartoon series filled with despicable images featuring our president. We condemn this magazine’s abominable effort to spread cultural racism and hatred It is clearly the product of a xenophobic, Islamophobic and intolerant cultural environment that the French leader wanted for his country ”.

“He attacks our leader with all his rudeness”

Turkey on behalf of all forms of violence against civilians and Islam is against all kinds of terrorist acts, clearly indicating that Altun revealed, continued:

“But we will remain where they can reach our culture and silent revolting attacks on our religion. Our president, Turkey’s most humane leaders in recent years, who enabled the release of millions of refugees at their doorstep around the world, are remembered. Women, children and those who do not lift a finger to help the disabled and now everyone points to our leader with his rudeness.

However, racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic and anti-Semitic provocations cannot provoke us to respond in the same way. We refuse to submit to intimidation and provocations that are intended to be carried out through victimhood. These irresponsible and stupid attacks on our culture will only fuel racism and discrimination. We call on all sane European friends to combat this kind of primitive cultural racism, intellectual infertility and uncivilized rhetoric. ”
