RESULTS OF THE AA FINANCE PPK EXPECTATIONS SURVEY

On Thursday, November, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will meet with all the economists who participated in the survey to anticipate an increase in the monetary policy rate. The economists’ expectations ranged from 200 bp to 550 bp.

The AA Finans market expectations survey for the MPC meeting resulted in the participation of 27 economists.

Consequently, the 27 economists predicted an increase in the policy rate (one-week buyback rate). The expectations of economists who expected an increase in the interest rate ranged from 200 basis points to 550 basis points. The median of economists’ expectations for the monetary policy rate for November was 475 basis points.

Economists reported that the year-end policy rate could be in the range of 13.75 to 16.25 percent. The median of economists’ expectations of the year-end policy rate was 15.25 percent.

In the last MPC meeting on October 22, the policy rate remained constant at 10.25 percent, while the difference between the Central Bank loan rate that will be applied in the Late Liquidity Window transactions ( GLP) and the overnight loan rate was determined at 300 basis points.
