We try to talk as little as possible, but we are in the days when we need to talk. We had an interesting summer period. My friends have done very positive things. What matters is performance on the field. We want to stay away from vicious conflicts. We try to focus on the field and our business. Events and conditions that occur outside of us attract us. Unfortunately, it started a bit early this year.
As our coach Selahattin Baki said, we see decisions by the referees, errors by the referees, some of them intentional. These concern us immensely. There is a serious problem. Last year, we were the biggest contender for the championship in the 20th week. Then in 7 weeks we were only able to get 3 out of 21 points. We were cutting at the time.
Going back to this year, we are winning. There is a lack of standard even in the games we win. For and against, there is a huge lack of standard in VAR decisions. It is not exclusive to Fenerbahçe. Antalyaspor and Sivasspor are also making serious reproaches.
“CRISIS IN TURKEY HAVE A REFEREE”
There is a crisis in the Turkish referees. This is an exclusive situation of the Federation and MHK. Not only did he win the Turkish championship in the field he has a case. This is a painful situation. All stakeholders must work together to change this phenomenon. MHK federations and presidents are changing; but there is something that has not changed. Crisis. Arbitration is hard work; But it is much more difficult to handle so bad. This low level of performance, both error is more difficult than the profession.
We didn’t get 3 penalties in last year’s Kayserispor game. The VAR was not visited. Referees’ mistakes sound systematic. Those who sleep and wake up with football are in a position to notice the intention with a referee error. Everything is obvious. We are faced with such a situation. Let them explain the positions in the matches one by one. Let them say: “They get the yellow card for this reason.” Let the referee explain your notes.

A system called VAR has arrived. Thanks to this technology, almost 100% accurate decisions are made. People expect minimized errors when it comes to technology like VAR. If this technology is used well, it will benefit and the people who use this technology.

I want to ask TFF the president of MHK. Is there a crisis or not? Are there any issues that need to be addressed? There is a crisis. Complaints circling. Yes, there is a problem here. If it is said that we will tackle this problem, we will work, we will set up a crisis table, we will have no other thought than to support it like Fenerbahçe. If all goes well, we, like Fenerbahçe, will chart our way. It is a dream to wait for new results and solve problems with old methods, approaches, thought leaders in the world of the aging referee. We do not say that every referee is bad, malicious. But there is a problem with certain referees. We see that MHK has changed tactics, they want to use young referees. We want this too.
Is there a crisis or not? The president of MHK should come out and say a few words. How are arbitrator appointments made, how are qualifications given? If umpire qualifications are announced, we will avoid the relationship between friends and sergeants. If we open this topic, we need revolutionary reforms. We both complain and make suggestions. How are the performances of the referees evaluated? How the referee’s mistakes are made, we do not know. But we know that it is not done well.
Referees must be determined in public. This chaotic environment is not like that. This method can go as far as here. We return every year. I wish we could solve this problem as a Club Association.
