The chairman of the Deva Party, Ali Babacan, came to Diyarbakır to attend the 1st Ordinary Congress of the provincial organization.

Throughout Babacan’s speech, the Kurdish question, law, equality, justice and democracy were emphasized.

Saying: “We are here for a Diyarbakır where there is no TOMA in the streets and there will be no operations in the morning,” Babacan told the people of Diyarbakır: “We are here to claim your vote, your will, your choice and what choose “.

Babacan devoted much of his speech to the Kurdish question at the congress held in Güneş Wedding Hall and attended by hundreds of people, often describing the AKP as “the ruling party that follows its little partner.”

Speaking to “Tahir who sacrifices the pursuit of justice for life, ECIA’s eyes to the excavation of memory, the 12-year-old boy lost his life, Ceylan’s forearm greets you all from Diyarbakir from his hometown” , Babacan starting with the words, said that he wanted to speak to all of Turkey from the Diyarbakir podium.

Saying that “the country is going through difficult times, justice, injustice and illegality, violations of human rights and freedoms have been trampled,” said Babacan, “there is no freedom of expression, critics are fired and arrested, young people who criticize on social media are taken from their homes, journalists are tried for their news, he claimed threats were made to the high court.

Ali Babacan said: “The ruling party and its junior partner are trying to create a proper citizen, a uniform mass of people for themselves, enough is enough!”

In stating that the state exists for human beings, Babacan asserted that nothing is more important than human dignity and honor.

Noting that the most important issue to be discussed in Diyarbakır is the Kurdish issue, Ali Babacan continued as follows:

“ I would like to talk about the Kurdish issue, which was denied for decades by calling the so-called Kurdish problem, but which could be named in the early 2000s and has become a forbidden word today, which is one of the most worrying problems for the government today. ”

‘Obsessions of new partners’

Babacan argued that the style and style of the country’s rulers in recent years are steps taken in line with the “obsessions of his new partners”, and that this style has become even more the Kurdish problem and has become a growing problem of justice and equal citizenship that affects all segments of society.

Referring to the words “There is a Kurdish problem and it is my problem” in Prime Minister Erdogan’s speech in Diyarbakır in 2005, Babacan said: “After becoming president, he forgot this promise and got to the point of ‘my brother, not a Kurdish problem, what more do you want? ‘ In 2015, ” he said.

Recalling that obstacles and prohibitions in the Kurdish language have been lifted since 2012, Babacan said: “But the curriculum that provides education is weakening now, the posters are being removed one by one” and recalled that Kurdish intellectuals who they fled to Europe during the reform years and returned with great hopes.

Babacan said: “Today, many intellectuals and politicians have started their migration routes again in the face of the threat of arrest at any time,” and recalled Şivan Perver and Mesut Barzani, who arrived in Diyarbakır in 2013.

Babacan said: “Since those days, the elected mayors have been removed from their positions and have been appointed in their places,” said Babacan, and recalled that the 48 municipalities of the HDP have been appointed trustees.

‘The manager’s policy became punishing the public’

Babacan argued that the government’s fiduciary policy became punishing the people in elections that he could not win, and that the right to elect and be elected by popular will was trampled on.

Saying that the government is trying to illegally seize all the municipalities that it could not win through elections, Ali Babacan said: “They want to do this in different regions, but they don’t dare.”

The basic rule in democracies, tell anyone who will not usurp the vote of the people, Ali Babacan, an independent and impartial judiciary, except that no one can be selected for the impeachment of a Turkey that they pointed out.

Saying that Diyarbakır is commemorated with the torture of September 12, Babacan stressed that the most important change in 2000 was the end of unsolved killings and the practice of zero tolerance for torture.

“ But sadly today we are in a completely different place, those who claimed to be torturing the villagers who picked mushrooms in Van two years ago as terrorists did not apologize even though these villagers were shown to be, ” and they were dropped from a helicopter after being detained in Van on September 11. he mentioned Osman Şiban and the late Servet Turgut.

Deva Party Leader “When we look at all these photos, doesn’t it tell us much, don’t you hear the alarm bells of the return of torture and unsolved murders?” he asked and continued as follows:

“This city, this region, this country does not deserve this, even if it is the public official who committed the crime, those who committed the crime must be executed in accordance with legal and administrative procedures.”

Referring to the Kobani incidents that hit the agenda six years later, Babacan emphasized that the Judiciary will do what is necessary for events that have a huge impact, but that court records should not be seen as the material of pressure and blackmail that they need the rulers of the country.

Recalling the memorandum of understanding that the government signed in Dolmabahçe four months after the Kobani incidents and the photograph was published, Babacan said: “ Didn’t the government know about the call that was made to Kobani four months ago? They are running fast towards the Kurdish politics of the 90s, again starting to antagonize someone and threaten the opposition parties. ”

Emphasizing that the judiciary cannot serve political purposes in a rule of law where the separation of powers is clear, Babacan asserted that the current landscape was unacceptable and addressed power:

‘It can’t be solved with pure security tools’

“ There is a parliament that has already lost its function of exacerbating the already growing Kurdish question by making citizens who believe in political struggle by democratic means feel the unnecessary sentiment of elections, and there is a parliament that has lost its function in To a great extent, and do not rush those of us who work together in the solution process, we defend that the solution will be in politics and we will insistently defend democracy. ”

By saying that “they proposed to oppose all those who blocked their political paths in this land,” “they chose violence as a method, they are in disagreement with all terrorist structures and organizations that feed off death,” Babacan said, “the The fight against terrorism is multifaceted. ”

Babacan argued that “this problem cannot be solved solely with security instruments, it can only be achieved through the professional use of diplomacy and international relations.”

By stating that “illicit acts will not legitimize terrorist acts,” Babacan said, “the existence of terrorism does not legitimize the illegal methods of the state.”

Babacan will also meet business people, NGO representatives and journalists in Diyarbakır.
