The accident occurred around 03:00 on Özal Boulevard in the Tevfik İleri district of the capital’s Pursaklar district. The car, which was blown up by the impact, was able to stop after being dragged for meters. Following notification of citizens who saw the accident, many health, safety and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Erdem B., Aslıhan P. and the person whose identity has not yet been determined, trapped in the vehicle, were removed with the work of firefighters. The driver of the van Cemil A. was taken by ambulance to the Gülhane Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention on the scene, while the three people in the car were taken to the Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt State Hospital after the first intervention .

Although Erdem B. and Aslıhan P., who was in the same vehicle, died at the hospital where he was transferred, it was learned that the condition of the injured who was in the same vehicle and whose identity has not yet been determined was serious.
