Akşener and the delegates reacted to Koray Aydın’s instruction to “not write”

RESPONSE TO DELEGATED PRESSURE

During the congress, various names were sent to delegates with presentations and messages. In one of the documents, which was said to have been sent by the IYI Party Organization Chairman and Ankara MP Koray Aydin, the following names are listed under the heading “Not to be written.”

“Hayrettin Nuhoğlu, Feridun Bahşi, Aytun Çıray, Yavuz Temizel, Ümit Özdağ, Aylin Cesur, Aydın Adnan Sezgin, Berna Bicer, İsmail Koncuk, Ayhan Erel”.

The names to vote are the following:

“Ayhan Bölükbaşı, Dursun Çolak, Arzu Önşen, Şükriye Sevin Çağlayan”.

Speaking about the list sent to the delegates not to write, a senior party member said that Meral Akşener was very angry and uncomfortable with this situation. Noting that the delegates were also uncomfortable with the pressure, the senior party member said: “The delegates briefed us on this. They react by sending names with such instructions. They say ‘We are not here to pressure ourselves.’ It was learned that the prepared block list caused discomfort in the delegates.

The following names were included in the key list announced at the congress, where Meral Akşener was once again elected as chairman of the Good Party.
