The people of Kuşadasi, who experienced fear and panic after the 6.6 magnitude earthquake, whose epicenter in the Aegean Sea was offshore in İzmir’s Seferihisar district, did not enter their homes with the continuing aftershocks. The Metropolitan Municipality of Aydın and the Municipality of Kuşadası began to set up tents and distribute food for citizens preparing to spend the night in the streets and parks.
The 6.6 magnitude earthquake, which was reported as the epicenter of the Aegean Sea off Seferihisar, was also felt in Kuşadasi. Citizens, who experienced great fear and panic after the earthquake, did not want to stay in their homes due to the continuation of the aftershocks.
They spent the night on the street
Those who decided to spend the night on the street began to sit down placing the blankets and duvets that were carried in the green areas of the parks to protect themselves from the cold. The Mayor of Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, Özlem Framioğlu, who came to Kuşadası, visited the people of Kuşadası who were waiting in the parks with the Mayor of Kuşadası, Ömer Günel. Framioğlu and Günel spoke to the citizens one by one and listened to their problems.

8 tents and 30 normals were set up in the Ikiçeşmelik district, where people who wanted to spend the night on the streets of Kuşadasi due to the earthquake gathered. Disabled citizens were placed in hotels and holiday villages. In addition, hot soups and provisions were distributed to the citizens of Aydınlı.
