In the WhatsApp correspondence allegedly belonging to Akyolcular, Akyolcular sent a message to SG at 23:00 with the text ‘pissed off’ followed by an emoji with a sad expression. So SG wrote to Akyolcular: ‘Why are you throwing those emojis? Something is brother. ‘ Akyolcular replied, “Don’t call me brother.” This time the young woman said, ‘Why wouldn’t I say brother?’ I ask. Akyolcular replied, ‘I like you.’ Before the reaction of the young woman, Akyolcular said: ‘I am writing with feelings from within. Is it easy for me? It was seen that he sent a message saying how many times I asked.
FAMILY STATUS REPORTED
The incident occurred when the young woman showed the messages that Akyolcular sent to her mother. It was learned that the young woman’s family reported the situation to CHP officials.
CHP DISTRICT PRESIDENT CESADA
After the allegations of harassment came to light, CHP Osmangazi District President Mete Akyolcular announced that he resigned from his post. Akyolcular made the following statements in a written statement on social media:
* Recently, I have been facing attacks repeatedly. I was forced to deal with news and complaints on two different topics related to the periods before my election as district president. The latest statements are in the same frame.
* I see that even in the personal accusations against me, my identity as CHP Osmangazi district president stands out insistently, and indeed our party is destined to be the target.
* For this reason, I resigned as president of my elected district, to avoid further damage to our party’s name during my legal fight regarding slander. I will never give up my legal fight. I announce it to the public with respect.
