Last minute: The Interior Ministry reported that 1 kilo 200 grams of explosives in a bag left under a vehicle parked in Gaziantep were destroyed in a controlled manner.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, the bag left under a car parked in front of the Karşıyaka Police Headquarters in Şehitkamil district attracted the attention of citizens sitting on the street at night.
The citizens, who saw a person move away from the scene, reported the suspect’s identity plate and the license plate of the vehicle in which he was traveling to the Police Emergency Line 155.
Immediately afterwards, the teams of the Subdirectorate of Disposal of Bombs of the Provincial Police Department, which took security measures in the place, determined that in the bag there were 3 pieces of explosive, approximately 1 kilo 200 grams and each piece with a mechanism set time.
The explosive substance was destroyed in a controlled manner by the bomb disposal teams.
Police teams detained 2 suspects, one of whom was in the vehicle stopped at the point of application, as a result of studies of reports and analysis.
