Theft of the construction of a pandemic hospital in Istanbul

Six suspects who were caught red-handed while stealing copper cables from the hospital construction at Atatürk airport were arrested.

In the study by the Directorate of the Public Safety Branch for the Robbery Office, teams identified in the districts that were involved in the robbery in different districts determined that there was no registration record for a vehicle traveling on Kennedy Avenue April 28.

The vehicle, followed by the teams, entered the field hospital building at Atatürk airport. When the suspects fled after seeing police teams, the vehicle was squeezed into Old Airport Avenue.

Police teams detained 6 suspects in the vehicle and confiscated nearly 70,000 pounds of copper wire in their search.

The suspects have been found to have been involved in the theft of 8 workplaces, theft of 2 vacancies, looting, and property damage in Bakırköy, Güngören, Bağcılar, Sultangazi, Bayrampaşa, Gaziosmanpaşa and Küçükçekmece.

The suspects were revealed to be 34 from Sadettin B, 15 from Sedat G, 28 from Doğan G, 33 from Murat B, 31 records from Emre M. and Onur G. 6 suspects were arrested and sent to court.
