HDP’s Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu was taken to prison today after being detained yesterday after his prison sentence was confirmed.
Gergerlioğlu’s son, Salih Gergerlioğlu, on Twitter at noon “They kidnapped my father from the hospital practicing a scene” he wrote.
Salih Gergerlioğlu reported that his father was later transferred to Sincan No.2 High Security Closed Penal Institution Type F.
On the other hand, a video message taken before his arrest was shared on the Twitter account of HDP member Gergerlioğlu.
What happened?
Gergerlioğlu, whose prison sentence for his Twitter post was confirmed by the Court of Cassation, lost his parliamentary status after the report on him was read in Parliament on March 17, without waiting for the AYM’s decision.
The police arrested Gergerlioğlu last night and took him first to the police station and then to the court. Gergerlioğlu was hospitalized due to his illness, where he underwent an angiography.
