The Director of Communications for the Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, also defended the termination of the contract on ‘secularism’ with the words “They took away the right to education from the children of this country in the name of secularism.”
Altun’s statements on Twitter are as follows:
“In the last 18 years, we have carried out important reforms in terms of women’s empowerment, as well as fundamental rights and freedoms, as in all fields. With an understanding that sees women as subjects, not objects, we ensure that a completely new understanding prevails in the construction of social life.
We have made groundbreaking innovations to avoid double standards among our women on many issues, especially education and the right to be elected. We can build a strong Turkey only with powerful women. Therefore, we remove all obstacles in front of our women one by one.
In order to improve the rights of women and prevent violence against women, especially the “Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and Prevention of Violence against Women”, “Articles 102 and 103 of the Penal Code” and “Articles 10 and 41 of the Constitution” We made many new arrangements.
With this regulation that we made in our domestic law, we strengthened our legal infrastructure in matters of “combating violence against women.” From now on, we will implement new regulations to reinforce the rights our women have won with a much more dynamic perspective.
Our government will work with all its might to end violence against women and further strengthen the place of women in social life. We would like to express clearly and clearly that our ruler is our beloved nation. Only our beloved nation sets the direction for us.
It is an insincere act of imitating the defenders of women’s rights, who until yesterday distinguished our women over the veil and deprived our women of their most basic rights such as education, employment and being elected.
The mentality that has remained silent in the face of countless harassment and violations within itself and has usurped all the rights of Turkish women for decades due to the veil, one of the most fundamental rights and freedoms, has no lesson to teach us about the women and human rights.
The history of Turkey, the western mentality of colonial cruelties and atrocities, is full of double standards and prohibitions. They hanged the prime minister of this country in the name of “democracy.” They took away the right to education of the children of this country in the name of “secularism.”
They unashamedly embrace democracy as if it were not the cause of their decades of persecution. They go hand in hand with terrorist organizations and make literature about the country without being ashamed. Now they are in an attack on our beloved nation through our women.
If you really care about the women, people, and children of this country, the first thing you’ll do is talk about the harassment and rape within yourself. So you walk away from terrorist organizations. Come out and apologize to our nation for its past atrocities.
Turkey, our president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the number of making countless revolutions. Our women participate in all fields more actively and safely. Turkey, mainly in the family and community structures, will confidently walk into the future with all the dynamics. “
