The Ministry of National Defense issued a statement on the cause of the accident after the first investigations into the helicopter crash in the Tatvan district of Bitlis were completed. The statement included the following statements:

“In the first examinations carried out after the Cougar-type helicopter belonging to our Land Forces Command was damaged in the Tatvan district of Bitlis;

– No signs of explosion and burning were found in the wreckage area,

As a result of the search, it was revealed that the helicopter had crashed near the Tatvan district of Bitlis.
